SURVEY - 28 March 2009

gallerytop opens a new exhibition of paintings inspired by the drama and richness of the landscape on Saturday 4 April. You can see the work of 13 artists who have produced a fabulous show of paintings, ranging from the meticulous realism of John Cheall to the rich abstract colour of Heather Duncan. The paintings are very diverse and have been selected for their creativity and technical accomplishment.

Some of the artists are local – Harry McArdle was a lecturer at Chesterfield college for many years. Martin Decent is a well known Sheffield artist who produces rich textural compositions and is highly regarded for his use of colour.

The quality and richness of the exhibition conveys an intensity of vision which is exhilarating and whatever their style or working methods, the artists in SURVEY have produced work of great skill and beauty.
